Foodspotting: Vegan Eats in Brooklyn, NYC

By Tina Chau Jan 22, 2018

Brooklyn has a thriving vegan food scene with plenty of dining options for locals and visitors to explore. If you are in NYC and thinking of spending time in the Brooklyn area, here are three of the many vegan restaurants you might want to check out.

Amituofo Vegan Cuisine

Pardon the shameless plug, but I am super excited to share that just this month we opened the latest addition to the growing list of vegan and vegetarian dining options in Brooklyn! The Amituofo Vegan Cuisine is a restaurant devoted to delicious plant-based dishes and drinks. It is also a place where we can share our passion for vegan lifestyle, foods free from animal products, and our health and that of the planet. I really hope that we'd do well and be part of growing the plant-based lifestyle here in Brooklyn. Come visit us soon!

Modern Love

Modern Love is a delightful cafe that serves great-tasting vegan foods that are almost too pretty to eat…Almost. My first impression was that it's really a trendy place and always seems to be jam-packed so it can be a bit hard to get a table without a reservation. It has a charming and cozy interior with scrumptious seasonal selections on the menu. It may be a bit pricey for everyday dining, but the flavorful dishes are totally worth it. It's a great place to splurge on good food or to celebrate special occasions with family and friends. I really like the ambiance and would go back there again.

Bar Velo

If you are looking for an intimate all-vegan restaurant, the Bar Velo is a quaint cycling-themed neighborhood cafe that you can easily find on Broadway. From foods free of animal products to live music performances and delicious cocktails, you'll find plenty of great reasons to visit the place. Not to mention the great tasting desserts. It’s my first time to try the vegan panna cotta and it’s heavenly!
