3 New Year resolutions for 2021

By Mhegan Lee Dec 30, 2020

If there's one thing that everyone can probably agree on it would be this: 2020 has been a year unlike any other. But here we are about to welcome a new one on a hopeful note. It may still seem uncertain when this COVID-19 pandemic will be over. And yet there is this budding hope for a better year.

Keep safe

This year taught us that protecting ourselves goes a long way in keeping our loved ones and other people safe. During these trying times, we saw how caring is expressed in many different ways. Staying home, social distancing, wearing face masks, and following other health and safety protocols to help curb the spread of the coronavirus have not been easy. This coming year I expect to do more of the same things to keep safe and stay fit and healthy.

Stay connected

Socially-distant but connected. This 2021 will be about nurturing relationships with family and friends. It is always heartwarming to see how many kept in touch and celebrated milestones despite being apart for a long time. Many have even reconnected with old friends over the past months. A virtual chat may not feel the same as having a face-to-face conversation. But it helped us kept in touch with loved ones and friends.

Travel mindfully

I may not be able to travel abroad this 2021 because of COVID-19 related travel restrictions. But if I get that chance, I want it to be a more mindful travel experience. From virtual tours to staycations in places surrounded by nature and everything in between, I hope to become a better traveler.

The New Year may not bring with it promises of a better life. But it gives this renewed hope that whatever life throws at us, we can figure it out and keep moving forward. So thank you, 2020. It may not have been easy, but there is much to be grateful for.
